Last week, I flew to Dallas, Texas to attend the LeanScaper Finance Intensive and receive Awake Abroad Media's certification as Advisors.

It was an unforgettable experience, not just because of the knowledge gained, but because of a mindset shift that I believe will transform how Jaz and I run Awake Abroad Media and serve you.

As I sat in the Hyatt convention center, surrounded by hundreds of business owners, massive screens, and a full production team recording every moment, I felt the weight of what it takes to create change.

No expense was spared.

And then Mark Bradley, the Founder of LeanScaper, said something that struck me deeply:

“Money doesn’t exist. It’s just fuel for purpose.”

That shifted everything for me.

Because money, in this sense, isn’t a standalone metric. It’s an expression of love and a reflection of what you care about enough to invest in.

Money is only currency.

So, what does this all mean for you and I:

Over the last days, Jaz and I have been reflecting on how this applies to small business owners.

Here's 4 ways we can all invest more intentionally:

1) Invest in yourself. The best investment you’ll ever make is in your mind and mindset, even if that means stepping away from work to see the bigger picture.

2) Invest in mentors. Hiring someone who’s already walked the path can help you take leaps forward faster.

3) Invest in your people. Surround yourself with people and teams who elevate you and release those who don’t.

4) Invest in doing the hard things. Growth isn’t easy. But every bold decision plants the seeds of change, even if it means asking for "help".

For many of you, business owners building your brands with social media, investing with purpose may mean bringing in the right team to help tell your story, so you don’t have to wear every hat yourself.

Because...

“If people don’t know why it matters to you, it will never matter to them.”

And that’s exactly why content matters.

Once you know your purpose and put it into the world, it reflects back to you.

The right clients, partners, and opportunities will find you.

This is the law of attraction.
